As you undoubtedly have seen, AllStar network is accessible for much of southwestern VT. However, having low power nodes in Rutland town, Middlebury, Manchester and Bennington would be the icing on the cake and offer incredible coverage from Bennington to Middlebury VT. Approximately 1/2 of the western side of the state.
Just a Baofeng UV5R ($26.00), An ARS USB Interface($90.00), a Rasberrypi2 with sd card ($50.00) and a homebrew 1/4 wave ground plane antenna and we'd really be in business.
Any takers? Just 1 ham in Rutland town would really help solidify the coverage. It's cost effective and there are folks here to help you set it up.
Cheers & Beers, KC1EGU
